Hi
just wondering if ya could help,
im thinking of drilling my airbox, ive got a 1.2 corsa b would it make any noise differnce and would it make it drink the juice???

If you put in a panel filter such as a k and n or similar and put in a cold air feed pointing towards the holes it will make a fair noise. It wont be as noisy as an induction kit but noiser than standard.
Your fuel economy won't be greatly reduced really, but maybe just a little

My makes a fuckin big sound!
got bb4 exhaust which is just plain poo and it manages to turn heads coz it's so loud.

yip, sounds very nice up to bout 2k revs, then exhaust kicks in! if u cut back the outlet pipe in the lid (sucks air from the top of the filter into the engine) it makes throttly response sooooooo much better!!
(but some 1.2's had this done from new) its easy enough to tell, if the pipe in the lid is the same size as the flexible hose, then its fine, if not, cut it back)

ive drilled mine 8-10 holes 20mm dia.. sounds good at 3000 RPM

just drill the box below the filter and not on the side with the engine

Just drilled mine, and fuck me it sounds the bollocks, very beefy!!
If an induction kit will make a better noise, im looking forward to getting one!!

although whilst idling it is below 1000rpm, before i drilled it it was on 1000, and also exhaust fumes smelled petroly? hmmm
