My wife started having contractions early this morning around 5am, though they were still fairly weak and comfortable.
We spoke with the local clinic around 11am who asked us to pop in for a visit, who then recommended we pop along to hospital.
On the way the contractions began getting painful.
When we arrived the midwife didnt think she'll be in proper labor but after a quick examination, confirmed she was fully dialated!

10/15 mins later, Olivia Sofia Venn was born, weighing 8lb 8oz at 1.26pm this afternoon.

she was initially born with the cord around her neck and was very blue, had to be resuscitated. Quite a nervous time, but had complete faith in the team and they did a great job, didnt take long to hear that big cry.

All in all everything went really well and a complete contrast to the 1st. we left the hospital around 5pm and at home now.

Amazing feeling and the eldest (2 yrs old) seems to love her already
