Mate of mine was wondering would it fit on? I advise that it wouldent be very wise choice but have any of you Done it and it been ok?or is it stupid?

Depends which boxes, there are ten different 1.4 boxes and two different 1.6 ones.

Do you know what they each came off?

All ino is 1.4 sport w reg and its goin on 1.6 x reg,I think he's hoping for good acceleration but I wouldent be sure it would last?

If its both off sports more than likely the same box.

Its likely the boxes are the same, the X14XE and X16XE both use F15CR and F17CR with a 3.74 final drive.

The F17 is rated to more power but the ratios are identical.

If you want better acceleration you'd need something with a longer final drive, C14SE got a 3.94 final drive, from an 8v SRi or early GLS around 93-95.

Tbh mate it works well ive done it on mine but use the 1.4 flywheel and clutch aswell if u got it as its lighter ive have it for over a year now no probs

If u want acceleration put a F13 box on it off a 1ltr if u want top end speed put a F15 or F 17 on it
