I use hot water because my teeth are sensitive to cold shit and like to tell myself hot water softens whatever is on your teeth/gums.

I tried brushing my teeth in the shower once but a bit toothpaste fell on to my purple warrior and it felt weird afterwards.

Cold water, no rinsing since my dentist told me it's worse for you!
Apparently the rinsing is an old fashioned trick to get rid of excess flouride when production standards werent so tight, nowadays its so regulated you leave any residue in there and it continues to protect and help re harden the enamel. I find the taste of toothpaste (not that I dislike it anyway) is gone after 5 mins or so, unless youve used too much paste obv
