Afternoon all, was at a petrol station last night and notced this under the forecourt lights. Seems to be limited to just the near side rear arch ( mk4 astra ) all quarter panel area is fine.

Paint looks really faded and blistered in places although it hasn't actually broke the paint and there is no sign of damage off another car etc..

Hit it with some polish and t cut ( up visiting parents this wknd - all that was in the garage) to no avail.

Excuse guff pictures only had phone to hand.

Looks like the lacquer is lifting, probably a bad repair previously.

Only probably? Thought you would know a mile off.

As said though, looks like moisture under the laquer, needs repainting.

Never said that. I'm not an expert on repairs, can just spot if one has been done.

Ugh, definately new paint required. This car is costing me a small fortune just now.

Alloys were just a 50 quid set i put on as my proper ones were getting refurbed, but it drives far nicer on them than the 18s so havent got round to changing them yet
