Ah estate agents, some of the laziest people with the biggest mouths that i've ever had the pleasure of dealing with.

Go through most towns and you see at least 5 different estate agents. this alone means it will be hard to get a sale and commission, as you have so much competition.

Also, more and more peoppe are bypassing estate agents and sorting everything out themselves.

Not a good time to become one, imho.

Sorry mate, didn't know you needed a degree to become one.

Its my opinion and I don't care whatsoever if you disagree with it, you aren't going to change it.

It's not bull shit. He started out in recruitment for Reed then moved onto a large company in London. Company car, fuel paid. Good job and he seems to be good at it.

My mum is an estate agent, worked at a small company for years then moved to a bigger company, fuel card was provided but miles had to be logged to and from jobs. She loved it when she was at the smaller company though as the commission was more than she got at the bigger company, plus it was a lot more involving.

At the end of the day its Sales, a job that anyone can apply for. Typically high employment turnover rates because people can't handle it. You are either cut out for sales or not imo.

It's Sales. I did it for six years. Money isnt what it used to be hence loads of estate agents jumping ship after a short period of time once they figure that.

I do recruitment now. Earn much better money, don't drive around all day and not doing viewings at stupid hours in the evening and weekends.
