Whats the going rate for a set of speedline allessio's? 4 x Toyo Proxes with good tread, 1 is kinda buggered due to camber issues. In need of a refurb due to corrosion and has 4x centre caps

I struggled to get £300 for a near mint, freshly refurbed set, with near enough brand new tyres. Sold them for £280 and that was pretty much the only solid interest i got.

I reckon you would be pushed to get £250. I would try at that and take it from there. Most folk aren't too arsey about a refurb these days as its cheap enough to do diy.

Its more for buying them rather than selling. Theres a set for sale local and the guy wants £450 and isnt going any less! Tyres are Avons and Acceleras so aren't even the best tyres on there

Set iv mentioned in my first post is up for £280 but its a 120 mile round trip for them

£450 is very optimistic, bet he has/will be holding on to them for a very long time.

Heres the set i sold for £280...

Offer him £230 and spend £20 on fuel and pick them up. Or maybe £250 if he meets you maybe half way.

Guy who bought mine came from Aboyne. I met him in Dundee and he covered my fuel (£10) and saved him another 60ish miles. That was probably a 120 mile round trip for him.

Prices have rocketed up for a new set. Looking at around £800 for a brand new set with budget tyres. Right up to over £1k for a set with decent tyres.

The ones Im buying are in Aboyne!
It'll be more like £40 in fuel in the R32 and back roads the whole way. I was going to see if he would meet half way but hes working all day so must be going there to pick them up

2nd hand sets just don't seem to go for the money they used too.

The set i had above, i bought them for £170 the way they were, and sold them a week later for £280.lol.

But aye, try get him down and make a road trip out of it. I would start low on the basis they need maybe £100 quid spent on them.

Offer £200 quick cash sale seeing as they need a tyre and paint.

Managed to get hold of the guy selling a standard set of astra gsi alloys so will go get these, wasnt really needing speedlines but was starting to get desperate for a set of wheels to get it on the road. Will just hold out for a set or tell him to get in touch if he decides to come down any!
