My view is, once you are earning £50k+ a week, you've no need to leave if you truley love the club.

depends on the context but yes, for us that would be top earner territory and i cant quite agree with that.
i think yuore right though, the only likelihood that he might stay is if he finds out that chelsea/city etc wont pay the money he ants in which case i think he woudl rather stay

i know where youre coming from but i guess its all contextual. whether oure worth the absolute value or not, if you think you are as good/valuable as X and they are being paid X per week then you are goinmg to want the same, and for example Poldi plays in the exact same role, scores less, assists less yet gets paid £100k per week. I agree that you have to bare in mind that Poldi is 27 with 100+ caps for Germany and nearly a 1 in 2 strike rate for them, but i dont think footballers think about reaosnable thigns like that

I think he's going to be a 1st teamer for years to come. He'll replace Sagna as 1st choice when Sagna fucks off in Jan/Summer.

im not sure hes quite ready yet. sagna is one of the best RBs around, and as well as jenks did earlier in the season (i dont particularly put him at fault for the 2nd goal the other day either tbf), hes not sagna yet and could do with some more learning in cnjunction. tricky though as sagna is nearly 30 so will wenger do a bobby pires or a tommy rosicky with his contract?!

tbh, despite what i said, given that wenger has played gervinho as a striker this seaosn, it does amaze me that he doesnt just try walcott up front on his own for a while or even as part of a 4-4-2 with Grioud (think he;d suit that the best, ina similar set-up to the Henry-bergkamp partnerhsip) a) just to shut him up and b) cos its not like we have many alternatives
