We're heading up to my mates static caravan for new year but it's about 40 mins out of Edinburgh so looking for some accommodation closer to the centre?

Left it a bit late and a lot of places booked up and what's left is mega expensive. Top option so far is Edinburgh uni accommodation @ £120 for the night.

Have you tried some hotels on the Royal Terrace?? Its just a row full of them.

Ive stayed at The Terrace Hotel in the past, was decent and only about £60 a night for a double room. Its right behind the playhouse and within walking distance of where you would want to be.
