I may be going to buy an 04 plate car 2morow for my partner. Last year I bought her a number plate which is along the lines of WV54 TYY. I'm not sure if im be able to put a newer plate on an older car sort of thing, Could someone help please. Thankss

Needs to be the same year (reg) or newer

^ what I was told years ago as I have a private plate also (J reg) and can't put it on a vehicle older then a J reg.

As above, putting it simply, you can't make a car look newer than it is.
