Took my BMW E39 530d for an MOT today.

Had 110k on clock for previous MOT. 125k today. All that is needed is anti roll bar link - £10 from motor factors.

People who are scared of german marques say that.

My dad said the same to me. Be wise and it doesn't cost any more.

Cheap copy parts FTW, don't see why they bother making genuine stuff when someone else can make them for 1/3 of the price

I paid more than that for same brand drop link for mum's 206 pug. I am not comparing main dealer parts. I am comparing prices for "aftermarket" parts.

It's not just BMW though is it. Any main dealer will charge well over the odds for genuine parts.
