All my warranty cars have only specified that OEM parts must be used, doesn't matter who does it.

OE equivalent, not OEM.

I a car had a Bosch oil filter on it from the factory, you can use a Mahle one or a Mann one, just providing it is OE spec and has the Block Exemption certificate.

My job is a million times harder than it needs to be as people still think they have to buy the oil filter for their 2012 IS220d's first service from Lexus themselves. Funny how when you explain that you can save them money try still don't believe you.

Regarding warranty repairs, I hadn't considered that!

For the original question though, providing the paperwork backed up the fact that it had been services properly with the right bits, I wouldn't bat an eyelid.

Aye to be fair the Vaux dealer who sold us my missus' Corsa a few months ago said parts must be provided by Vauxhall. I didn't bother arguing as they'll be doing my services anyway
