Both look good, I've got lower end/older versions of both and they've done the job nicely.

ah good thanks, ordered a couple of 1m hdmi cables too as mine are old and was reading on avforums that the best way to connect the PS3 is via hdmi rather than optical as hdmi 1.3 etc supports far more audio types. Will all I need is 1 hdmi from the amp to the tv?

That should work. I'm still using optical/coax for my kit and rarely use the PS3 so don't do it personally.

HDMI is far more easy to manage as you'll just need the one cable for sound and image.
That said, the PS3 doesn't support any of the HD sound formats, so HDMI isn't really a necessity.

One HDMI from receiver to TV is sufficient.

Not the biggest speakers those, so I imagine it'll be just fine. Cables are always something you can update at a later date if you feel like it.

Wharfedale kit is a good purchase. Always liked those.
