Here we have for sale my E46 ///M3, to save any confusion the silver one in the pics. It really is in fantastic condition, it was when I bought it and I have since spent a fair few quid improving this with some subtle modifications. It has tax and test until the end of April but I am pretty confident it will pass the next MOT with no issues, this really is one of the best out there. It is on 84000 miles which is well below avaerage, these go in well into 150,000+.
The car is an SMG model which I very much prefer, it shifts as it should and is fast and responsive, it has never needed an SMG reset while i've had it and dislpays no fault codes. You are welcome to check, there are no SMG issues to worry about.
In October the car had the full subframe replaced by BMW. This was done by Coopers of teeside to a tune of £4k. The replacement consists of a thicker panel that wont fatigue which is then injected with special resin. It comes with almost 3 years of warranty for peice of mind. They really did a fantastic job.
Heres a quick list of points..
Good:
Tein -30mm lowering springs all round (no risk of snapping rear springs).
12mm rear spacers fitted and 18mm front spacers. these give the more aggressive stance seen in the pictures with no rubbing issues.
Xenons with auto level as satndard, however these have been uprated as have the fogs to a brighter HID bulb. The headlights also have LED sidelights and aftermarket angel eyes which look great.
Depo smaked front indicators, smoked side repeaters and custom tinted rear light clusters.
All the interior bulbs converted to LED giving a crisp white light.
K and N panel filter which never needs replaced only cleaned.
Standard upgrade 19" alloy wheels refurbished to stop laquer peel which is very common on all polished rims. These have been finished in honda cosmic grey and look fantastic.
After market rear strut brace professionally fitted and colour coded to wheels. Front BMW performance strut brace and kidney grills also colour coded.
Matt black wing vents, look fantastic and more aggresive.
Excellent condition Nappa black leather with gloss black interior trims.
Standard 6 disc cd changer removed and now fitted is a Connects2 Ipod and usb adaptor in the glove box. I dont have an Ipod but use the usb function which works with all the standard harmon kardon controls.
Carbon fibre boot lid, this has been repainted to match the car with the fit being excellent, they cost around £600 unpainted and are a cool modification. I have the standard which will come with the car if you so choose.
Excellent condition all round including the paint work. M3s have aluminium mirrors and corrosion is very comon resulting in £400+ for a new new set of mirrors. These on mine have none at all.
3 year subframe warranty.
Imported magnaflow exhaust system. This came from the usa and cost the previous owner $1600. I think it sounds fantastic. I do have the standard aswell which is in great condition. This can also come with the car if you so choose.
4 wheel alignment done after sunbrame fitting in Oct. The spacers and spring were fitted at this point so tyre wear will not be effected.
All the tyres have 5mm+ of tread.
Climate control, cruise control, electric seats with movable side bolsters to hug you, parking sensors, auto light and wipers..... the usual ///M3 spec.
Full service history with most at BMW. Recently(last month) had a Insp 2 service done by a freind of mine who owns Prestige Motor Works on Team valley in Gateshead. Obviously I got this done pretty cheap. He is a BMW specialist with 20 years dealer experiance, I can give is number if who ever buys the car is local and wants decent service pricing, you only need to see the fleet of various M cars at his work shop to know how good he is.
Free private M666 JPD plate, I have nothing to transfer it to, and its looks great on the car,
Bad:
One of the rear tyres has a small lump out the side wall. I had this checked and it is fine, it just annoys me.
One of the parking sensors needs replacing, I can show you which one.
The exhaust can be a bit loud for some when cold and droney on long journeys. The standard however will only take an hour for a garage to fit and then you can sell the magna flow.
Hopefully as you can tell from the advert I am a M-car enthusiast and am selling for personal reasons, mainly being I never get tho drive ior t. It has covered less than £2k in the past year and only ever comes out the garage on dry days.
The car really is tip top and viewing is highly recomended. I dont expect the car to hang around for long. It is priced very competitivly considering the spec and maintenance its had. Feel free to buy a £6300 sh**ter and learn the consequences, or buy mine and live happily ever after.
There will be no test drives without first agreeing a deal, valid insurance and me holding the cash. These are powerfull rwd drive cars and Im not having some test pilot crash my pride and joy for me. Any code reading or ispection welcome.
