I can't see them banning helicopters over London, it's a ridiculous thing to suggest. The amount of powerful business people that rely on them is huge, and the revenue at Battersea Helipad must also be quite substantial given that the landing fees alone are around £1000 a time!

They have to have the heli lanes over the thames in case of engine failures etc., and I guess it would also help with navigation with VFRs

Exactly and it's single engines anyway. It was an Agusta 109 which was involved in this crash, which is twin-engined.

Just drove past Vauxhall station, was still all shut off, loads of surrounding roads shut presumably lots of investigating to do

and now there was a fire on a gatwick express train at victoria and they shut that off... bad times for anyone who works down that way
