Still haven't given up even with the snow, its been quite beautiful actually. My legs did feel like they were going to drop off on Friday afternoon at work but resting at the weekend helps.

I picked up a thermal base layer on Saturday which I've been wearing under my jacket with my bib+gloves and I have had a beanie on under my helmet to keep my ears warm until I get a muff thing its on order

edit -OH yeah got some mud guards too to stop all the shit flicking up at me while its wet and horrible, doing the job nicely

Yes willay yes

Did the base layer help with the sweating/hyperventilating etc?

Buffs are very good! Sometimes get em free in MBUK and other mags.

Got a couple of these on order. Should arrive in the next couple of days. Cold air feels like swallowing razor blades!

I'm loving it. Even in this awful weather. 7 miles a day and its seeming to be too easy on the new bike.

Same Deano. I live so close to my shop its not worth me getting the bike out, so I walk.

However, moving soon which will be a nice little 4 mile ride in. Plenty of options to add up to 20 miles onto that if I fancy it. Cant wait.

My commute to work is about 16 miles but the only direct route is on the A1(M), plus I don't have or ride road bikes.

According to Google Bicycling I could do a route which is 20 miles, taken nearly 2 hours

Got myself a face neck scarf thingy from sports direct yesterday, reduced to £5.99, doesn't look the best but it means I HAVE IT and not waiting for the local bike shop to sort their lives out.

SO YEAH, made my ride home yesterday 100% more amazing because my face wasnt getting smashed to shit by the wind.

Ride home is going to be interesting, snow is falling and going to be in the dark. YEAH BOY

Riding in the snow is epic, especially at night. Everything looks proper bright.

Instead of a shovel in the car today I was tempted to take my bike
