Am I right in believing this is the 8v sump baffle and gasket for the xe? It came on my nova didnt think anything of it at the time.. And if so the tabs that are bent up on the right are they what need to be modified for it to fit ok? Just want to make sure before I order one and recieve the same thing

looks like a normal 16v baffle/sump gasket to me.

worth noting is the 8v bonded sump baffle/gasket fits straight on with no bending but you will require shorter bolts

8v one I had needed a tab bending upwards to clear con rod.

Actually downwards would be the correct bending direction thinking about it....I have a pic somewhere.

I just pushed mine down so it was level with the plate,when you put both side by side you can see exactly what i mean.
