I was being facicious Steve. I'm not about to compromise the anonymity of 40 people because you don't believe me.

My point is that I'm not alone in wanting the site cleared of crap.

As I've said before, the answer is not 'do nothing', and its either this or start removing users.

Seriously, loads of people don't like it. That's enough for me.

Plus thats not why the site exists, which is my decision.

Plus talking crap doesn't attract sponsors, which basically means that its be sensible or be no longer financially viable.

we've got 'help zone and modification advice' for serious talk and information, we've got forums for i.c.e., tutorials, meets and events, regional events etc.

so with all other bases covered: what else is general chat actually intended for??

Chat related to those areas that doesn't fit elsewhere. I'm not pretending it'll always be just about cars - indeed there are threads there right now not about cars - but thats not to say I'm fine with some of the useless rubbish that gets posted there.

I'm not looking to silence anyone, just perhaps alter attitudes to what the site is for, what is useful, what people are happy to read and what will promote growth of the site.
