Hi ive been trying to make a partition on my external hdd. i went onto computer and manage and then deleted the volume. now it wont show up on my laptop at all? i plug it into my dreambox and shows up the space but cant format?

I havnt lost any data the hdd was completely empty.

It wont show up as a partitioned drives because there isn't any partitions on it - thought that'd be obvious. However, it'll still be listed under Computer Manager. Now create two partitions.
Also, why have you created another thread?
Edit - And why not Google or look on Youtube, as there are hundreds of guides out there detailing exactly how to do this with external drives.

I have googled but cant find what i want. Its not visible under computer volume like i posted above!! A different thread cuz different problem

done had to delete the volume again altho already done that tho. sorted
