Me and a mate are looking into get ourselves a 172 cup for the summer with the intention of doing a few track days as well. I know a few people on here have a second car or track car, anyone recommend a decent insurance company that specialise in this kind of thing ?
Basically we want a limited mile policy as most of the time it will be tucked up in the garage, some of the quotes we've been getting around around a grand upwards, which for a car that will be barely used it crazy.

I have a CUP 172 and the insurance is very pricey for it!
Ive been driving 10 yeas and I insure my S2000 and the clio isnt much less than the S2, I use Admiral for 3 cars on a multi car policy.

Tried a directline multi car policy still silly money, didn't realise they were so dear to insure.

How often are you really going to drive it? I insured my 172 for a day with one of those day policies for about £17 although it was a while ago. If you can get it for say £20 and use the car 10 times that's only £200

Im in the same boat with mine at the minute I can only see me using it a handful of times for shows and I never use it in the winter so can't justify forking out for a 12 month policy. I think im just going to day insure it for the minute, just a pain having to keep taxing it and then taking the tax back off it with this new law!

I had the same driving a R26 to a track day, they were wanting £68 (cheapest) rang admiral, added it to my policy for 2 days for £18 inc admin fee. I'd be checking them first!
