Egypt is only shit if you're a pikey and book a 3 star hotel expecting 5 star quality.
We loved our holiday in egypt (just up from naama bay). But then we stayed at a decent hotel, and not a shithole.

I went to a 5 star hotel, it wasn't the hotel that was shit it was Egypt in general .

I've been gumbet, I enjoyed my holiday there, some very good places to eat. And plenty of nightlife on one big stretch. The main part is a horse shoe shape up a hill round and back down. Simple cheerful cheap holiday is turkey

Turkey is much nicer than Egypt, been a several times and considering going back.
Not been to Gumbet but parents have and liked it.

Gumbet is a piss up resort nothing more! Even the nice hotels are filled with that type of traveller.

Been twice. Was a good crack. Hot, cheap, decent places to eat and some good excursions available. Done a scuba diving for something daft for like £40 which included an all day boat trip.

Went to Gumbet/Bodrum years ago. Bit of a shithole, very sleazy. Wouldn't go again.
