I was on way home from work like 30 mins ago when all of a sudden there is a massive bang and its from the drivers side of the car at the front.

I know it was not a pothole or a kerb so i stop and have a quick look, nothing stands out, then check the steering, brakes and have a listen to car when moving, everything seems ok. Get home and find out my the alloy is scratched round half of the outer rim, God knows what i hit but it has wrecked my alloy (look wise).

I have had the them for like 3 weeks max!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know it wasn't there before as i washed the car not to long ago, have never kerbed it and always park at a silly distance fae kerb!!!

What should i do? will have to see if it can be repaired or if i am looking at a new alloy already. Check what is best for costs.

check ur tyre for any cuts.. happened to me. Ran over a piece of metal that stabbed into sidewall of the tyre, came around n whacked the plastic arch off!!! re-furb costs depend on the finish on ur rims. Mine are shadow chrome n cost a mint to do so ive learned to live with it.

same thing happened to me kev, 2 night or so after taking my car out for a test drive, i kurbed my n/s front alloy which was brand new, but i have't restored it yet, because it dont look so bad. But if u get that kit from halfords tell me how u got on with it, because then i might get some.

Well i checked road out and nothing is there, it must have been something lying on road, going to get it refurbished cause i got crystal finish so Halfords kit won't work.

Anyone know of any good ones in my area?
