Just been trying to explain how to my Dad over the phone how to put music from itunes onto a memory stick, so he can plug it into the car. He knew he had an ipod because I bought it for them but I set it all up, so he had no idea what itunes was. He said the sales guy talked him through everything like the media system etc but he didn't understand so just nodded and said yes alot.

When it comes to mechanics and engineering my Dad knows his stuff. But modern technology and he's fucking lost.

And he's not happy because theres no 12v socket in the back of the car!!!! What the fuck does he need one in the back for, theres one in the front!?

He's fucking 9 years out of date with car technology.

Oh and he's happy as larry because the C has a dipstick but the E didn't have one.

Why do you say that? They still relate to the age of the car...

The people who wouldn't put a private reg on so people could see they've managed to finance a brand new car care. I don't think most other people do.

I'd rather put my own plate on than leave it off for a bit just so i could show off a new reg.

This.

Why do people care what plate the car is on? Do people really drive around thinking that people are impressed that they've got a new reg?

I always notice new cars tbh. My Skoda was a 62 tho and went straight onto my private plate.
