Basically i have 18" pentas on my astra and the wheel caps have all coroded on the surface so they basically look mostly white.
It seems to be a common problem from what i have found.
So i had them sand blasted with the intention of spraying them, but can you get a colour to match, hell no, apparentyl they use some sort of chrome paint that goes on hot.
Ive tried star silver which was well off, also tried the plstikote chrome colours which are pretty spot on but if you try to laquer them they go dull due to the metal flae in them.
Anyone help out at all, my caps have been off the car for around 2 months now

Have you not been to a paint shop and got them to match them to the rim colour best they can?

Chrome spray is a hard one to get right, saw Jambo use some recently that looked good, all the ones i've tried end up a milky silver

yeah the chrome ones ive tried , can be lacquered as they turn dull, so really dont know what to do now.
for new caps they are stupidly expensive, and will only do it again anyway.
yep been to a paint shop but they dont seem to have anything close, went to a wheel refurb place who say you cant buy the colour to suit the wheels, the centre caps are polished alloy, but due to the corrosion they are pitted so need to be painted. but they cant match the colour to the wheels

Funny you should mention this , just got 4 replaced under warranty. Started going white looking after 6 months on the car , corsa sri btw , same caps.
