Afternoon folks. Just wondered if any of the good people of CS have had any experience with buying an insurance policy for mechanic's tools, or if you know anyone who has done so.

I'm having great difficulty locating an insurer that will offer cover. Namely, no one at all so far.

Sorry chaps, i've just re-read my post and I wasn't clear enough.

I don't have my own business and the tools will be at someone else's permanent place of business.

They don't have cover for employees tools and i'm terrified at the prospect of my gear being in there and not covered, hence me trying to arrange my own cover.

I wonder what would be cheaper.

Paying for insurance or buying your tools back from the local pikeys?
