have a look at London Camera Exchange, they come with 3months warranty too.
you can get a 450d with kit lens for about £300

I'm selling my Nikon D300 and have lots of kit to go with it. not really a beginner one but willing to do a deal. What sort of budget are you working with?

i would also try LCE, or http://www.mpbphotographic.co.uk/ and www.ffordes.co.uk sell second hand gear. There are more but they tend to be the ones i look at when i'm looking for gear. Not that i've actually used any of them

The Talk Photography forum is a good place for gear but you need to have a minimum amount of posts etc to access it
