Hi Guys, I going to view a Vauxhall Corsa 1.2 Automatic, 2000, 5 Dr, 60,000 miles on the clock. Is there anything in particular that I should look out when going to view this? Any help is much appreciated!

With the autoboxes make sure you spend a lot of time playing with it up and don the selector and if the S flashes on the dashboard at any point, walk away

The autos are always on eBay broken. I assume it costs a load to get them fixed?

You won't win any speed contests in one...

The flashing S lights puts the gearbox in limp mode, so you either have to crawl everywhere or drive it like a manual shifting through gears 1, 2 and 3. I think what normally causes that problem is the selector switch on top of the gearbox gets clogged up with crap or just fails completely in some way rather than the gearbox blowing up or anything.

If you still want an automatic, my advice is to buy something with a 2.0 or bigger engine (trust me I've probably owned more autos on here than most )!

That's exactly what happens.

With everyone saying they're crap, they might suit the low milage town driving he's doing... we nearly bought my sister a 1.2 auto Corsa
