What's the tactic with this then? Last Holiday I booked was 9 months in advance 
Missus is a teacher, but with Easter Holidays incoming we're planning on getting away for a few days to a city break type thing. Thinking Barcelona, but options are open.
Currently got a price for £540 all in for flights, 4* Hotel, tax, baggage,transfers, insurance for somewhere in the centre of Barca.
Should I poker face it and see if it comes cheaper considering our options are rather open - or are the prices only likely to go up as the seat allocation dwindles.
I know when we were booking flights for the Monza GP last year - two of us got seats for like £80 and then the third person went to book and the price was £200 because the plane was almost full

They hound you with emails, may be 3 per week, but they have some fantastic deals on there in pretty swanky places!
But £540 for 2 in Barcelona sounds good though. How long?

P.S. I've never managed to book anything last minute and get a good deal.
Also check Quidco! I booked a hotel through Quidco & Expedia. £120 for 1 night in Cheltenham, but got £14 cash back!

Fly out Monday, Fly back Friday so 4 nights. Initially went to book 3 nights and it was more expensive, so meh.
I've read trip advisor (brave  ) and the Hotel seems fairly highly rated - it's actually in a business district but still only a short walk from t' beach and 15mins metro to Las Ramblas where all the shit goes down.
There's a lass at work on Secret Escapes, I might ask her to check for me tomorrow so I can see if it's worth signing up.

The only thing with Secret Escapes is it is 100% payment with booking - so make sure your travel insurances covers you well, or you take out travel insurance prior.

We had a look for somewhere similar and found Thomson were just as equally priced and are much easier to deal with if there's any problems - we got bummed over last year when we went to Zante and booked through Teletext (booked about a month before, almost "last minute" :lol .
