IPhone is about £55.

S3 is around £240 odd as one piece....

The best ive seen yet is 130quid. Wonder if its possible to buy it myself then just fit it . Theres loads of tutorials out there.

I got my other halfs fixed through my bank account phone insurance.

they replaced more than just the screen though. I wonder whether the screen and casing around it are together?

Cheapest i got quoted was £160. Went through bank insurance for 50 excess. Seems it must be screen and the silver bit as one part.

You can fit screen yourself using guides but the actual part is mega money as well!

semit related - My HTD Desire HD sd card si fucked and wont read the many sd cards i've tried.

Can this be fixed without replacing the phone?

The screen isn't part of the silver bezel. It's glued in, heat gun and something to pry it out job. That said I'd be amazed if you could get it out with at least denting the bezel so you'd want to be doing that too.

Although the part is dear, most places overcharge becuase they don't want to do them, glue everywhere

The price I have quoted is for a full unit.

I would not bother just getting a touch screen or just an LCD.....Too messy
