I know a few of you on here are pretty tech savvy so was hoping you could help me out,
I am after a 40+ inch monitor to be wall mounted in our office which will be showing a spreadsheet at all times, so nothing particularly fancy.
Any recommendations would be great-cheap as possible (ideally!)

This should really be in off day or geek day, but a 40 inch tv would do. As long as it had an hdmi input and you had an hdmi output on the computer/laptop.

you can use the monitor port on the motherboard to the tv(that's what i've done, and if you got sound don't for get to put the sound lead from the pc sound port ( on the motherboard (green colour) port) to the sound port on the tv

We got this for our office http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/7471247.htm for exactly the same thing. Except at lunch we watch Iplayer. Just hooked up with HDMI to laptop.
