Will i need transponder and chips or would it be too early for them?

On the same note, do i need to change the hubs or can i just change the usual, engine, box, loom, ecu and exhaust?

Thanks in advance

my understanding is the hubs are all the same its just the shafts that differ and so you shouldnt have to touch the hubs.

Has transponder etc, you'd be best converting the loom too, as the 1.0 setup is completely different, assuming the 1.0 don't have EPAS, and if you want to keep that, you have some wiring to do.

Use the shafts from the 1.4, No need to change the hubs, You could use the 1.0 shafts but the inner CV's are a weaker design.

Thanks guys. The 1.0 didn't have epas, it runs a home brew ps set up which shouldn't interfere with any of the conversion. I'm guessing teh wiring shouldn't be too different to popping a c20xe in really yeah?

The wiring is a pain on the 1.0's.

Change the dash loom.

The 1.0 has the wiring you need, but its in the engine bay, on the passenger side, The sport loom comes in on the drivers side kick panel.

As you have the loom from the old sport, change it, you won't regret it. Will also mean you have the wiring for the rev counter etc.

Would changing dash loom require removal of dash though? Sounds a right pain in the arse if i'm honest, lol

Not full dash just centre roud heater controls and side vents, headlight switch etc, steering couling and you can work round it easy enough, gets a bit tight round fuse box but not mind bending
