hia everyone

sent my head off for skiming a fews days ago,got a phone call this morning saying it was ready so i went to go pick it up.

am really pleased with the work apart from they haven't cleaned it after

so now there are metal shavings fucking every were,all in the water and oil ports ect.

what is the best way to clean them out?

Same. I thought it was part of the job tbh. My gf had her head skimmed and pressure tested and came back clean.

didn't really get to see it till i got home,daft i know but i was paying inside as the lad boxed it up and put it in the boot for me.

i have ovs rang them but they are saying they are booked up till next week and tbh am not waiting around.

Load of bullshit as they probably have a hot wash that they can put it in while they do another job, then quick 2min blowing excess water etc out. Easy enuf job.

would not even touch it until they had cleaned it themselves and put in writing they had done it, last thing you need is to do it yourself or miss a bit and get an engine failure and they deny any knowledge or pass the blame.

either way make sure you cover yourself.

am going to give it a good jet wash and take it up to a mate's work shop to see what we can do. i have rang them again but don't seem to care tbh

I am sorry but cleaining it is just as if not more important then any of the work , clean, check, clean and clean again when it comes to engines!

When ever I get any machining work done on a block or head I never get it cleaned. Bar acid dipping some times.
Do it myself atleast then I know it's properly clean.

thanks everyone . i have have jet washed it out then useda air line to blow and left over shit out. going to do it again tomorrow a few time's to make sure!
