The way it goes realy is if it has it , it has to work. So for the airbag. The light has to come on then go off. Unless you've stripped all the airbags out.

if you refer to special notice 1-2013 pages 4 and 5 it lists changes as of march 20th.

the srs light inoperative has been deleted is on page 5

Just spoke to vosa.... I stand corrected and it's only a fail if the light is on. Advisory if it doesn't function correctly
