Im applying for a driving job and my last job isnt quite relevant, its in the building trade, how do I go about writing my main duties without going on about something they have no interest in?

No harm in putting it on like. Mention you are livid about driving and have always had a passion for it etc

Everyone goes about CV's for jobs like this the wrong way imo.

Just tell then you have a licence, you would like a driving job and most importantly your going to turn up every day stfu and do your job without giving them any grief. Thats all anyone wants out of an employee.

did you do anything in the building trade that will help you in a driving job? stuff like being patient in angry situations and being able to be trusted, working in a team/solo well.

Well there you go then. You have a high level of familiarity with building sites and dealing with operatives, and you are consciously aware of maintaining high standards of H&S

Whether your last job is relevant or not you need to put it on there. Otherwise you'll have a gap in employment and it'll look worse.

Make up some bullshit that you used their company van to pick supplies up on a weekly basis or something

Put down that with you working on building sites you have used a variety of fleet vehicles , if you can drive a 7.5t tell them you regularly went to builders merchants and hire centres to collect shit . I'd be banging on about having a clean license for x amount of years. If you have points I would throw application in bin now as they will without a doubt go for who is the best driver on paper.

Might be worth putting down your clean shaven
