Got a whining noise coming from the offside rear of the engine, where the altenator is im thinking it is actually the altenator just wanted a second opinion, it only did it on start up before and its gradually got worse n now its constant n gets a lot louder when I rev it, any ideas?
Next problem got a random noise under steering wheel, its like tss tss tss over and over? I have no idea?
Also whats the best suspension setup for a b with a redtop?
And it has 2litre hubs etc so how do I go about getting new wheel bairings?
Lastly its really loud, and I would prefer it quieter it has one middle scilencer and backbox full powerflow system how can I get it quieter without losing performance?
Btw its a corsa b c20xe, thanks

My alternator is doing same thing. Bearings on way out. If you rev it and let off you hear it as revs are dropping?

Get a long flat head screw driver and put it on the alternator and put your ear to the Handel. Will hear if its the bearing there. And if not go round like that.

Suspension wise it's personal preference but I ran gaz coilovers with 300lb front springs and about 200lb rears. Front upper and lower strut braces and solid top mounts. Played with the damping to suit my driving and it out handled pretty much anything my friends had.. Things like CTR's, scoobs.
I believe 2 litre hubs use old golf or corado (sp?) bearings :/
My exhaust was a 2 1/4" system with a 3" tip and was about 96db at the sound tests. You could get the silencers cut open and repacked with more fibreglass. That way you keep the exhaust as is, just quieter
