Looking at this on egay, but its not named or anything, but for £300 it seems almost too good for money? I haven't done anything with audio for years when kit was really expensive. I know stuff will come down in price, and I want a sat nav, but it seems to have loads built in that would be really handy. Comes with 1 year warranty, but just wondered if anyone knows anything about them? Touch screen etc.

Then I can also plug this in, from the same company.

Is it some cheap chinese jobbie, or should it be ok?

Id imagine this will be the case. TomTom are the only ones who make a good sat nav anyway.

I've done courier driving for years and tried most brands of sat nav and nothing compares to the tomtom for accuracy of finding addresses, and best routes.
Did you have a heated screen in your car?

I've got a Pioneer Headunit with Sat Nav and it's pretty good actually, full postcode search aswell and gives you a choice of drivers view, 3d view, 2d view, 3d & 3d at the same time, loads of choice.

is it a heated screen that causes signal issues? i've heard it's cars that have the screens that look a bit purple from the outside, usually renaults. something to do with uv reflective stuff.

My mums bf has a Citroen c5 with one of them screens and he needs a booster airiel for his tomtom. Ive only ever used a tomtom with a normal windscreen and had no problems.

I was looking at this one as its a dash replacement jobbie, and also DVD player for when I sleep in it at trackdays.
I was after any experience as I couldn't find the make/model to do any research, but I've found some info and tbh its not great. Didn't expect too much for £300, but its not got great reviews, sat nav doesn't work randomly etc. Its got its own website and support, but I can't find many people saying "yeah its a good cheap unit".
Looks like a garmin/tomtom sat nav and laptop for watching DVD's it is
Cheers anyway.

Yeah it can do, when I used to drive a private hire we couldn't get the unit to get signal and then we realised the mondeo had a heated screen, moved the receiver of the dash and it got full strength signal instantly.

Is there no way you can get a unit like that and add your own sat nav software to it?
