So I'm renting a season ticket off someone for next season, met the guy already and he's sound and will be sat with his friends next season. Now the time has come to pay and get the ST, unfortunately though he works in Bracknell and lives in Slough so we can't really meet up to do an exchange. Are there any decent ways of doing the exchnage that will protect us both? He has offered to send signed for recorded etc. etc. if I can do a bank transfer but of course it leaves a small chance of getting ripped off (we're talking £1,075 so not small change by any means!)

Slough is all of 30 minutes from Paddington station, can't see the issue there - unless you're scared of leaving the M25 bubble with your white iPad?

Potentially yes, but its several hundred pounds to obtain a replacement and they won't void the old one

Last resort is travelling for 2 hours instead of risking a grand?

Meet him with a suitcase cuffed to your wrist, dark shades, in a back street ally.
Hire a Range Rover with tinted windows...

If your gonna do it, do it properly.
