If it's from the council, which I assume it is, then no.

Put it down to experience.

No way out of it. The fact you can't be seen and the front numberplate is irrelevant as the rear plate can be seen.

Just pay the fine

Just out of interest, is your car a Vauxhall or Opel on the V5C?

Rear number plates clearly visible mate. And if there's clear markings to say no left turn, you've got no chance

I actually see the Opel bit and laughed as i know its a vauxhall and they have just assumed its an Opel because of the badge. I would pay it. In the end of the day they have photographic proof and a video so there wont be any getting out if it. Just an expensive mistake to make and make sure you dont do it again.

No harm in sending an appeal saying you're sorry, don't know the area and didn't see the signs and that it won't happen again, I've got off a parking fine in that way before, the worst that can happen is they say no, pay up!

That's a good point ^

Take it if my appeal is rejected I won't have to pay higher amount, as its Been more than two weeks

Thats why so many people just pay up without argument, and it's also why they offer the lower rate because they know people won't want to risk a bigger fine.

If your appeal gets rejected past the 14 day period, i'm pretty sure you'd be liable to pay the higher fine.

Nope if you appeal and they reject it, they usually give you another 14 days to pay the lower rate..
That's why I appeal every ticket I get.
Not that I get many.

^^ that's also with my local councils, I'm not sure of others would work differently..
There is no reason they should penalise you,
Ring them and ask if you appeal and its rejected would you still get the chance to pay at the lower rate,
It's just a general question so you won't need to supply them with your details etc,
All this being as long as the appeal is lodged within the 14 days.
You should be able to do it by email and get a pretty quick response anyway
(1-2) working days

I know in scotland you can contact the pf ( procurator fiscal) and try to explain. May be worth a shot?
If not the £65 not that expensive a lesson really.

In experience they fine you the higher rate if you appeal and it goes over the 14 days
