I reckon you'll find all the info you'll need here: http://bitcoin.org/en/

(funnily enough)

ps. Are you buying something illegal? The only time I've ever seen the need for bitcoins was in an underground drug version of ebay

I didn't think you bought them from people. I figured you buy them from bitcoin and you trade with them.

As far as i know its computers that create bit coins but they have to work overtime decoding some 'shit' (Not sure what it is) they have farms doing it though.

Seems people sell them here

What are you trying to buy online?
Can't you buy it elsewhere for real money?

Or is it something a little naughty as I suggested earlier?

You don't buy from people, rather you go to one of the Bitcoin exchange sites and purchase them there; it's cross between a typical currency exchange (ie: as if you went to the Post Office to exchange Pounds for Euros etc) and PayPal (it's stored in a digital wallet rather than being given physical currency).

From your digital wallet, you can then either transfer them to another Bitcoin account (so similar to transferring funds from one PayPal account to another) or 'cash' Bitcoins out as another currency.

As mentioned, Blockchain.info or mtgox.com do this.

A fair few legitimate retailers/companies are now using Bitcoins as an alternative to PayPal, Google Wallet and other online payment processors as you aren't stuffed with fee's etc.

So if i sign up to this blockchain or register call it what you want. Will i be able to buy the coins directly from there? and straight into my purse lol

p.s sorry if im being annoying asking lol

Yes, you should be able to deposit (/exchange) money (via Debit/Credit Card, PayPal, Google Wallet etc) for Bitcoins.

Do note the current exchange rate when buying, currently 1BTC is around the $100 (or £64-ish) mark, and different exchanges will give you different prices (difference is usually a few dollars at most, not a biggie unless you're planning to buy a fair few).
