Because a place that powder coats any thing won't be able to do wheels as good as they are not a wheel specialist? The fuck you on about?

There's more to powdercoating a wheel than say a lower arm. Usually the wheel will also be lacquered too, not something a general powdercoater will offer in my experience.

The finish on my rear beam would be terrible if it was on a wheel.

The finish on your rear beam is terrible in general regardless. Other than that your statement is ridiculous.

Personally after having wheels painted and seeing loads refurbished properly powder coated, I'd go with powder coating next time as mine have flaked and been injured with stone chips from drag racing.

We send ours at work to a company called pristine wheels. Their work seems very very good from the hundreds of wheels I've seen.

My wheels were powdercoated at lepsons, which I believe is a specialist wheel place and they haven't aged well at all. I do agree that decent powdercoating is just as good if not better than painted wheels.

Those people whos wheels have chipped when sprayed, imo not sprayed well as ive never had an issue other than fitting/removing tyres...

Steve i laquered my golfs wheels, most powder places will laquer them.... Mine were also powder primed

Update:

Well after looking around for a place to powder coat my wheels i refused to pay £70+VAT each wheels.

I tuck them down to my mate jake who had his own body shop, did all four for £180!

Really happy wit them, center caps have also bin done but still waiting on new badges in the post hence them not fitted yet.

Coilovers are next i think..what do you lot think? Sorry for the crappy pic's as taken on my phone.
