Now then

I'm having my first play about with Packet Tracer in order to try and boost my knowledge and understanding of infrastructure etc.

I've got my domestic LAN mapped out in the software, however, i'm looking for a way of simulating the internet with it...or at least some sort of routing from a computer on my LAN to a computer on a totally different network.

I'm quite sure that i'm over complicating it in my head, and it's making my thoughts on it a bit "fuzzy". If anyone on here is pretty experienced with this sort of thing, would i be able to send you the saved Packet Tracer file for you to setup the internet portion for me?

I've read the first 5 or so search results in Google for the search term of "simulate the internet in packet tracer", and also watched various YouTube videos, however, as usual, there are conflicting ideas on how to do this.

The best you can do it stick two (or more) routers together and get another network on a different subnet on the go... Or it was when I last used it!

Iirc you have network one connected to router one with a network 2 address on the outgoing interface, network 3 connected to a router with a network 2 address on the outgoing interface... Does that make sense? Network 1 and 3 would be private ips (192.168 or 10.0...) and network 2 would be public ones...
