Bloody brilliant actor. One of my favourites. Did an incredible job in The Crow Road.

I'm really not into Doctor Who at all, I just find it like a watered down children's show? He's a great actor though and I'm sure he'll fulfil his role well.

The man is an acting machine He's been brilliant in everything i've seen him in. He swears like a trooper in The Thick of It.

I'm hoping he'll bring a darker and more adult slant back to Doctor Who, now that he's going to be replacing the child that is currently filling the role.

With the exception of Chris Ecclestone, Doctor Who has either been merely okay, or fairly unwatchable since Tom Baker's departure IMO.

Glad it wasn't a woman. Does anyone else get annoyed that the Doc never seems to visit other planets anymore.

I actually liked Matt Smith as the Doctor, he reminded me of the mentalness of Tom Baker.

It would be absolutely brilliant to see him play the Dr Who role as if he was playing Malcolm Tucker, certainly wouldn't make it out before the watershed!

I'm not real arsed about Doctor Who but i'd definitely watch it if it was Malcolm Tucker playing the Doctor
