Where did you chaps learn it?

Just pick up some scrap and go at it with a tig. Or did someone show you how to do it?
Fancied learning tig for a while. Just as another skill to add to my belt realy.

I started off just making the weld pool and moving it along, then adding wire, then got 2 bits of flat bar and made a t price, then welded them together..

Spent 2 weeks welding scrap to scrap

Having a high frequency start helps a lot.

A good wrist action is required Can make some lovely welds with TIG once you've got the knack.

Start off just going straight runs with no wire, once you can get a nice weave start feeding the wire.

Keep the tungsten sharp, you'll end up in the pool with it all the time when you first start.

Also, make sure any plate/scrap you use is nice and clean.

I do alot of TIG and MIG welding.
Advice i can give is you can not teach welding TIG or MIG its all about mask time and practice practice practice.
Read the basics on how to setup the machine, torch, what the weld supose to look like etc
Once you get the hang of sticking 2 bits of metal together then go on some welding forums and post some photos and get advice on how to improve.
First two rules of welding for me are
1. always be comfy
2. clean everything even if you think its clean and new

DO NOT get gasless MIG or scrach start TIG

Its an art, more so than any other form of welding.

All I can advise is that its all about rythem. I use to sometimes count - 1, 2, 1, 2 in my head. The one being everytime I dipped wire in the pool, and 2 being pulled out. It doesnt denote 1 or 2 seconds but its a good basis in my opinion.
