Hi all was just looking for some advice. I live on an end terrace house and i have a double garage at the side of my street. I have never really needed to use the garage until i recently had my car broken into. The issue i am having is every man and there dog seems to park infront of it. I am going to invest in putting some signs up stating not to park infront of the garage as access in needed 24\7. I have been told by various people that if this is ignored and you have signs up you can call the police and have the car removed as it blocks the right of accsess? Is this true or does anyone have any information etc etc?
Cheers

Then I don't think you have anything from a legal standpoint.

I'd imagine your looking at 600-800 to drop a kerb. Though tbh it should have been done at the time the garage was built.

Regardless of the physical access, its all down to what it says on the deeds for the property.

Definitely need a dropped curb, otherwise you are breaking the law by driving up the pavement to gain access.
Bird down my parents' road got a letter through warning of prosecution as she had been reported for the same thing.

My dad's dropped kerb cost him an optimistic fiver to the council guy repairing a stank in the middle of the street, seems he chose a good cunt to ask
Edit to say, I say a dropped kerb but what I mean is kerb stones taken away, angle produced and tar put down. Still works though and that was 15yr ago

No chance of doing that now. Licence required for one costs about £1200 in Liv and still needs to approved.

Wow, fuck that. What action would they take if you just went ahead regardless?
