No they go straight on top

but they dont fit on top or do i have to bend /cut things

Tack them on at the front where it fits then heat the other side up then hammer it to the shape of the chassis leg.Mine was like yours.

Grind the L shape piece back or just weld over the top,doesn`t really matter.
