Been looking at these for quite a while now and I'm determined to get one! Does anyone own one? What are the gti's and the tdi's like? How much was yours? What are they like to drive? Anyone part of good vw forum I should sign up to?

Been looking mainly at 3 door gtis but even the 2009/2010 models are still 15k :/

You won't get a gti for less than that really unless you go mk5. The 6 hasn't been out long enough

Make sure you do a quote on it before you get it so you're not paying about £4K again mate!

The mk6 is a cracking looking car. They are still pretty pricey tho and it'll be a while before they drop.

They have one bad flaw tho, the timing chains are a bad design and a few I know including my mate last one have snapped which meant a brand new engine.

I had a 2009 Diesel 140 SE. Was a brilliant car. Loved it.

I was looking at a Mk6 GTD a few months back. Absolutely gorgeous car. Decided to save some cash and bought a Leon FR instead.
