As my F28 is a non-speedo-drive type, when its fitted I wont have a speedo.
Can anyone suggest a decent dashboard unit for speed/revs/oil press/oil temp/fuel etc etc.
Cheers all.

Its not that hard to fit the drive for the mechanical clocks (assume the gearbox is out of the car)..
I had to do this for my old Corsa, the plastic ring gear costs only a few quid and its not that fiddly to fit as you can withdraw the diff through the cover on the gearbox.

Did you have to drill the box seeing as the late spec F28's are sealed with no hole for the speedo drive.

It was a 2002 F18.. Luckilly they just have a bung didn't realise the F28 had a different case for later versions.

I think the changeover F28s had a core plug which could be removed and the hole made bigger (or maybe its the same size, can't remember) so he might be lucky and have 1 of these boxes. If its a late box, then it will need drilled.
Cheapest option would be to grab the stuff from an electric drive 4 cylinder corsa and fit it. Only a couple of wires go to the back of the clocks.

Have you still got the standard Diff? No reason why you can't convert it to cable drive.
It will work out a lot cheaper anyway. Bigron has different set of clocks in his, from Tweeks.
