Well 48 months of ownership is fast approaching. I would keep my car another year if I had to as its been a great car - I have just over 9 months left and have been told I need to order my new car within the next3 -4 months so had a quick look at the list (not got my official log in details yet) and I am battling with myself about how much money I should put in myself to get the car I want
I have narrowed it done to these
BMW 320D MSport with Business edition, MSport plus pack including brakes, 19's, sound system, xexons and sun protection Glass
BMW 518D MSPORT - comes fully loaded but would add MSport plus Pack. including brakes, 19's, sound system, xexons and sun protection Glass
BMW 420D MSPORT - comes well spec'd but would add sun protection Glass. no budget left to add 19's etc
Mercedes C220D Coupe AMG SPORT plus with Navigation
Audi A4 177 TDI Black Edition with Navigation
The Mercedes looks great but sure on interior and never been keen on the current Audi's
The favorite is the 4 series but like the spec of the 3 and 5 with the sport plus packages
All are looking at around £80 a month additional funding by me plus my BIK tax

I am not keen on the 518d tbh
I have up to £40k p11d limit and looked at all of your model options tbh. I really like the new 3 Series and the spec you describe above is spot on. My only drawback is that I need to take either physical or pipeline stock and I ended up placing an order for another Audi A6 to replace my current A6 Sline. This time opted for the multitronic box and Black Edition spec plus heated leather, elec folding mirrors.
Keep us updated.

CLA is interesting - the book price is lower than a coupe but they seem to command high monthly payments
Its also an A class size which isnt too much of an issue but if look at one completely side on they look awkward IMO

yes my worry is the 518 will be under powered but its had an uplift in torque to 260ibs/ft and they have discounted the 5 series ED model

sounds nice - A6 is out of my limit as we seem to get best deals on BMW at the moment
Our scheme has also changed making it much more complicated

agreed about the cls having an awkward looking side profile. Was looking at them last night and was a bit gutted as they look great from every other angle.

My Dad has the C220 AMG Sport Plus (not Coupe though). He loves it apart from the suspension is a bit stiff for him, but he's an old git.
If it was me it would either be the 3 Series or the A4
5 Series would be nice but bit underpowered??
Don't really know enough about 4 Series.

XF sport is in the 163 guise but cannot build it on the jag website
If you can get 18's as the lease option list says you cannot then that's goes to the top of list

That would be a very nice car. Definitely what I would go for!

Its a good scheme. Get to change my car up to 3 times a year too.
Whitter - Been looking at the 3 Series MSport Plus. Looks fantastic. £2k uplift on standard MSport looks like good value too.
The CLA is hideous too. Tiny inside with no space whatsoever.
How does the A5 Sportback stack up?
BMW' tend to do very well as they are supported well at the front end and work even better when a car policy is shaped using a 'wholelife cost' methodology.

Dad is currently locked into a battle over his new car with the fleet manager.
The list for his grade (which is a non-people-management grade) is rubbish, a handful of Toyotas (Aurius, Avensis, Prius, Prius+) and some shitty SlowMotion VW's (Passat, Golf, Touran). He's been managing people for 5 years now, had been moved up the ranks yet still gets the shite grade cars. All he wants is a CT200h now too, which is cheaper than the top spec Prius (he only wants a mid spec CT).
You two should consider yourself lucky that you get 40k AND can spec, he can't change the spec of any car.

depends on the industry I suppose
Cars is a huge aspect of our industry and as a result the car sheme is pretty good dependin gon your level
I am one level away from the top grade on cars so very lucky and they have now allowed 2 doors etc on the scheme
more I look at it the 4 series or 3 series and looking the favorite
Byron - yes the sports plus gives great kit.
