Yeah ford are pretty gay regarding test drives. We had the same problem when test driving a kuga.
Suppose it sort of stops time wasters, but it also gives them work to do.

Yeah was a tad annoying I did explain the situation but he said we still had to do a quote ect, can understand really but just annoying when we had no intention of buying from them. Guy was still really helpful though so couldn't grumble.

The missus is going back to a 1.25 82ps fiesta next week. She had the same engine before the focus.

I was convinced I could here that noise yesterday, the other half laughed at me, more noticeable on the petrol then the diesels I normally drive.
They sound really good, looking forward to getting a few miles on it and being able to stretch its legs a bit.

I whipped the airbox off the hired Focus and you do get a noise on lift off. Perhaps a pod filter would do?
As said, youd never really know it was missing a cylinder.
If you can, disable the traction control. IMO it made the car pull harder.
Best engine in years!

It's the others halves car so won't be played with and only a day old so best to keep it as it is
