I can tell you a lot on this topic.
My brother has had his corsa vxr since new, 2008.
Around beginning of 2012 the rear arches started bubbling and rusting, phoned Vauxhall, car went it for an assessment and they said it'll be reprinted.
Cutting a long story short, car done.
Drove through winter, come early 2013, front and rear heavy rusting.
Phoned Vauxhall, cars gone out of the 5 year warranty so they tried to say tough luck, had an engineer out, wrote a report and Vauxhall have asked for the car again.
So just push them and don't listen to what crap they say.
Seems to be a common thing, I seen a vxr on out stand in Combe, 2010 plate and that's arches started also.
